Becky & Jake - Kent Garden Wedding
Becky & Jake wanted their day to be full of colour, laughter, fab music and fab food and man alive did we get all those things and more! Becky and Jake got married in St George’s Church in Benenden Kent. Having grown up in Benenden, this church holds a lot of meaning for Becky, her family and friends. After making their vows, the happy couple drove off after the ceremony in their vintage car, with guests following behind on coaches.
Becky’s mum hosted the rest of the day in her utterly gorgeous garden in Hawkhurst, Kent. There were flowers everywhere, providing big, bold flashes of colour in reds and oranges, reflecting Jake's Central American heritage. The entire day was a perfect mash up of Kent countryside garden wedding, with Central American flare, complete with steel drummer. The guests basked in the afternoon sun, surrounded by blooms and with a stunning sailcloth tent by Holmstead Events in the background. One of my favourite moments was discovering two scarecrows in the vegetable patch that were dressed up like the bride and groom.
Becky's modern, geometric wedding coat was designed by Andrea Hawkes and her feather cap was by Ani Burech. Meanwhile, Jake's talented mum made all of the bridesmaid's dresses using fabric from Liberty London. She also made dresses for the two flower girls using the same fabric.
Becky and Jake's gorgeous day has been featured on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings here.
