Rachel & Imran - Asylum wedding
Rachel & Imran's Indian inspired , colour-smashing, joy-filled wedding kicked off the the Asylum Chapel in Peckham. From beginning to end, this was no ordinary wedding. The couple's friends and family pitched in to help with everything from making the delicious curries served at the reception, to taking in turns to DJ, to decorating the venues.
Rachel wore a sari for the ceremony which was conducted by her dad. She then changed into a white dress purchased from French Connection and altered by herself. This wedding will forever stand out in my mind as one of the most heart-felt days. I cried over and over again, as Rachel and Imran made their vows in front of her dad, as they both made their speeches, and especially when every single person on the dance-floor linked arms around the couple and sang the last song at the top of their voices as the couple told everyone how much they loved them.
This wedding proves that you don't need to have a big budget to have an unforgettable day. It's not about the venue or the dress or the details, it's about the love.
