Rachel and Imran ‘s wedding will always stick out in my mind for how incredibly personal it felt. Their friends and family helped with everything from decorating the Asylum Chapel in Peckham, Rachel’s dad conducting the service, friends cooking the food and taking it in turns to DJ through the night. There’s something really special about a wedding day when everyone gets involved.
Rachel and Imran wore traditional Indian wedding attire for their ceremony at the Asylum Chapel in Peckham. The Asylum is an arts venue run by Maverick Projects. It is a Grade 2 listed building with such atmospheric charm, while also providing a modern take on a church ceremony.
Later on in the day, the couple changed outfits and Rachel wore a white dress from French Connection which she altered herself. The reception was held in a community hall in Dulwich.
